At Whiskers and Tails we believe safety and wellness for your pets is as important as professional care is. We educate our clients on safety & wellness and offer a variety of classes from pet first aid & CPR to taking care of your senior pet & dental care. SUZANNE PERINO

Suzanne Perino, owner of Whiskers and Tails, started her pet care career in 2002.

Suzanne's background is in nutrition and sports medicine. She was a competitive body builder, then became a personal trainer and finished up her fitness career in sales and marketing. Now she's getting her exercise visiting pets and walking dogs!

Her passion and love for pets led her to become a professional pet sitter. She loves her job -- giving care and kisses to your furry friends when you can't be home with them.

Suzanne knows that you are entrusting her with the care of family members. Recognizing this huge responsibility, she keeps herself up-to-date in all aspects of pet wellness and safety (just like she did back when her clients were humans!).

In addition to providing excellent in-home care of your pets, Suzanne - a certified instructor of PetTech's PetSaver program - teaches a unique and fun Pet First Aid Course, and is committed to teaching other pet sitters, clients and pet owners the basic techniques of first aid/ CPR and pet safety.

Suzanne is proud to be a member of Pet Sitters International, East Bay Pet Sitting Association, and Pet Tech. She lives in Martinez California with her husband Michael and their best friends Keysha, Calloway and Sierra.

Initial Consultation

Initial Interview and Consultation:

This complimentary visit is where I meet with you and your pet(s), and typically last between 30 - 60 minutes. During this visit I will familiarize myself with you, your pets, your home, and the routine you want me to follow.

I will receive detailed instructions from you by asking a lot of questions. Together we will complete a new client profile that includes veterinary information, emergency contact information, feeding instructions and much more. I will also receive a key to your home.

Please note that the required initial consultation requires at least 48 hours prior to service beginning.

Pet Sitting Rates

1 visit a day lasting 25-30 minutes $25.00*

2-3 visits a day lasting 25-30 minutes $22.00* per visit

Overnight services lasting 10-12 hours $75.00*

* Rates include up to 3 dogs / cats and any small animals living within the same household. Additional pets are $3.00 each. Bridge Tolls are extra. Mileage is charged at .39 per mile over 20 miles round trip.

Feed & give fresh water

Play, exercise and individual attention

Brushing

Potty breaks, poop patrol

Litter box cleaning

Small animal cage changing

Bring in mail, packages and newspapers

Altering lights and drapes (if requested)

Trash in/out

60 minute walk $40.00

25-30 minute walks $20.00

15-20 minute walks $18.00

* Rates include 1 or 2 dogs living within the same household. Additional dogs are extra and priced by size and package. Bridge Tolls are extra. Mileage is charged at .39 per mile over 20 miles round trip. Scheduled walks may be cancelled due to extreme weather conditions.

Knowing the skills and techniques of pet first-aid and CPR can literally mean the difference between life and death for your pet. Being able to give immediate care to a pet that is injured or suddenly taken ill is invaluable.

Pet First Aid is the immediate care given to a pet that is injured or ill. This class is perfect for both Pet Professionals and Pet Owners who love their furry whiskered & tailed friends, and want to be able to be there for them with life-saving effectiveness if they are ever in urgent need.

The training is fun, fast-paced, and includes lecture, demonstration, and hands-on skill practice. All participants receive a certificate of completion.
